Sometime it's just too easy to imagine

I found another... Interesting...

BLOG-SS-Sometime it's just too easy to imagine

- a spanking temple.

Whenever I've attended a worship or meditation service there's always a central stage or alter where the attention is focused. There's also the expectation of humbling of the self to a higher power and some type of atonement. When I'm in that type of situation, it's easy to imagine a house of worship for those like us - those to whom spanking represents the ultimate in love and giving of one's self.

I imagine the submissives going forward, one after another and bending willingly over the spanking bench that would be placed at the front of the worship/meditation space. The Dominants or Disciplinarians would submit themselves to the will of God by freely administering the official caning to those bottoms. Like acolytes or ushers it would be a voluntary responsibility. Due to the fact that one may not be attracted to the person being spanked or doing the spanking would make the choice of love as motivator that much more important. It would also emphasize the role of moving the ego to the side to allow God/Universal energy to work through us.

There would have to be an official implement and perhaps an alternative implement for those of weaker body. Perhaps a cane and an alternative ping pong paddle or something. That would have to be worked out. There would also have to be a customary number of strokes. Given that there would likely be at least one level of clothing, I'd vote for 20 strokes with a thick, hard cane. You'd want it to be enough to know the submissive felt it and have the punishment last long enough so as not to be too easily shrugged off.

It would be a transformative and cleansing experience for all involved, and as I said, it's just too easy to imagine. Now then... where are all of "us"? Let's get going…

Innocent Thrill of Spanking

Last "Vault" for now. Almost caught up....

SpankingSpirit-2006.05.02

There are times when I have to re-experience the innocent thrill of spanking, or more to the point, the thrill of being in the world of spanking. By world I mean the zeitgeist of discipline and playfulness and mystical energy generated by those of us who understand spanking. I use the word "understand" advisedly. It's easy for someone who doesn't understand spanking to ask, "What is there to understand? After all you just slap someone on the ass a bunch of times, right?" If you're a spankophile, you cringe when you hear statements like that. Besides the obvious safety and trust issues that must be addressed if you're a practitioner, there are all kinds of symbols and meanings and subtleties involved that you just don't have to be taught. It comes with the territory.

For example, I just got off the phone with a friend who understands. I was in a public place while she was at home, so I naturally limited my references to the word spanking to zero. But my friend is well aware of the relationship my wife and I have. We got on the subject of weight loss and exercise motivation. I mentioned I was supporting my wife getting to where she works out and helping with massage. My friend complimented me by saying my wife was lucky to have my support and she wished she had someone to keep her motivated. It was in the way she said that...

We were both on the same page without ever mentioning spanking. It's magic.

X = X

BLOG-SS- X = X

It finally dawned on me what "X = X" means. Unless you know a certain friend of mine very intimately, you won't that phrase and it will seem absurdly obvious or incomprehensible. Of course, to me, it seemed to be both, due to the fact that my friend is highly intelligent and has depth. This philosophically enigmatic statement first came up when he and I had our first of many long and rewarding conversations exploring consciousness. I couldn't solve it for a long time and stopped trying after a while, putting it down to my just not appreciating the simple elegance of the statement.

Now, around 20 years later, I had been thinking about my new motto, "transcending duality" and the relationship between duality and consciousness. It occurred to me in a flash of insight that I had been making a duality of mind and objects, and that duality could be transcended. Indeed, the essential transcendence is that of the split between perceiver/experiencer and that which is experienced/perceived.

The experience of the object is in the object! To make the assumption that the object is out there causing an internal experience is to make an unnecessary break in reality. It is a premise for the doubt we have in the inherant meaningfulness of all of our experiences, at the very least because we see our experience as separate from objective reality. If something is "real", it is to be trusted. If it is subjective, it is suspect.

If subjective is taken to mean "truth relative to the subject making the observation", and objective is taken to mean "truth regardless of the subject making the observation", then it calls into question who determines objective truth? And is there anything to observe without subjects?

Yin/Yang

During the next few days, I'll be posting some that I had "in the vault", but never got around to uploading....

BLOG-SS- - Yin/Yang

I’ve been thinking more lately about opposites - how two things can be true at the same time, depending on point of view and circumstances. As humans with minds, we naturally want to categorize things – in other words judge things. Judgment was a major key to survival in our pasts and still is the key for many in desperate circumstances. It is only when judgment is carried over into the level of morality or humanity, does it actually do more harm than good. If I judge you as being bad, I’m presuming to know your heart. That’s a lot for someone other than you to say. It’s a lot sometimes for us to know our own hearts, let alone friends and family, and let even more alone, strangers.

Yet we go on day after day, adjudicating in areas that we know nothing about, cutting ourselves off by cutting off those who are not deemed to be good. Just as Newtonian physics does not apply at the level of the speed of light and we must use Einsteinian calculations, it is the same with the human soul. At that level we must realizes the uselessness and destructive nature of the tool of judgment.
